The Student Assistant Grants and Contracts position is part of the Grants & Contracts team within Welthungerhilfe's Institutional Donor Relations Unit, which maintains relationships with institutional donors, supports internal knowledge management, and advises Country Offices on the review of project proposals, contracts, and donor reports. The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial one-year contract with good prospects for extension, based in Bonn, Germany, 20 hours/week at 15 Euro per hour, with mobile work within Germany possible in agreement with the team. As a working student, you will support colleagues in day-to-day work, focusing primarily on collaboration with the BMZ team, gaining insight into the organization's activities across international development cooperation.
Responsibilities: Support the BMZ team, particularly in reviewing financial reports and supporting documents (voucher lists, inventory records, audit reports, etc.); reconcile financial reports with project accounting records; communicate with Country Offices during the review process; support preparation of external audits; maintain and enter data in the Bengo Online Portal; maintain relevant tables and overviews in Excel; create and adapt AI-supported tools; carry out general financial administration tasks.
Currently enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences; experience working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office 365; ideally initial experience in financial administration; high level of organizational accuracy and affinity for numbers; enjoys working in an international environment; experience with common AI applications is an asset; good English and German language skills, written and spoken.
