Position description

The International Relations Office (IRO) plays a central role in supporting the development and delivery of the College’s international engagement with academic partners and overseas governments. The team functions as a ‘front door’ for university and international diplomatic partners, providing briefings, strategic advice, horizon-scanning, coordination, and practical support for international partnerships.

The International Relations Office Assistant will play a key role in providing administrative and practical support to the International Relations Office. The successful applicant will require strong communication skills to liaise with staff and students across the College and demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to other cultures which much of the nature of our work entails. Additionally, the individual must possess a ‘can-do’ and positive approach to the workplace ensuring that an excellent customer service is maintained at all times.

  • The post-holder will be fully trained in all aspects of the job, including transferable skills for career development.
  • This is a fixed-term position until July 2019, with the aim of the role becoming permanent dependent on funding.
