Secure World Foundation is seeking a full-time Senior Program Analyst, Space Law and Regulation, to
join our team, working on some of the most pressing challenges in outer space governance and
sustainability. The position will focus on national and international legal and regulatory aspects of space
activities, as well as leading the SWF project activities where space law and/or regulation is the primary
focus.
Candidates should have demonstrated law, policy, and regulatory knowledge of space sustainability
topics such as space situational awareness, space traffic coordination, orbital debris mitigation and
remediation, and/or space security.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Program Analyst, Space Law and Regulation, is to manage the
day-to-day activities arising from the implementation of the Foundation’s program plan, which involves
creating and managing project content and related initiatives. This position will focus on providing legal
and policy analysis and support for SWF’s core mission areas of space sustainability with a primary focus
on national and international legal and regulatory aspects of space activities. Familiarity with
international space law, treaties and the multilateral governance institutions related to space activities
is desirable. The Senior Program Analyst will also support other mission areas as needed. The Senior
Program Analyst will work with SWF staff on implementing assigned projects; from time to time, the
Senior Program Analyst may be required to coordinate with, supervise, mentor, or train junior program
support staff, interns, and volunteers.
This position will be based in SWF’s Washington, DC office as a hybrid position requiring a few days in
the office each week and a regular remote work schedule. Domestic and international travel is required,
estimated at a minimum of 30% for this role. SWF is offering an annual salary in the range of $85,000 -
$97,000, depending upon experience, for this full-time, exempt position. Benefits are offered, including:

dental insurance, $2,000 and 80 hours in annual professional development support, and more.
