Position description

The University of Virginia Department of Politics seeks applications to fill non-tenure track Instructional positions during the 2021-2022 academic year.  Teaching load will be a minimum of one, but no more than three, course(s) during the academic year based on need, and at the discretion of the department chair.  Preferred areas of expertise include, but are not limited to constitutional law, the judiciary, and/or the courts. Compensation will take the form of wages.  

A terminal degree is expected but not required. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching.

The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.  This position will require an Education Verification (FSAKA).
