Position Overview:  We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented entry-level Project Manager to assist with managing 4 key projects and a small team. This role is perfect for someone looking to start their career in project management, with opportunities to grow and develop under the guidance of leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables in four primary areas of responsibility:

    • Strategic competition research and data collection

    • Maritime domain awareness research and data collection

    • Requests for Information processes

    • Research and writing standardization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create project roadmaps.

  • Organize and participate in project meetings.

  • Track project progress and report to the Director of Research and Knowledge Management and potential additional stakeholders.

  • Ensure project documentation and SOPs are up-to-date.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, business, management, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Experience with tools for scheduling, resource planning, and collaboration.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and mediate differences of opinion within teams to align toward a single project goal.

  • Experience with customer/user relationship management - particularly with the US government or military.

  • Proximity to key USG facilities in the Washington, DC or St. Louis, MO areas (plans for future relocation will be considered)

  • US citizenship with the ability to acquire a security clearance.

 

  • Familiarity with Tesla Government software. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in international relations, business, management, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira or similar).

  • Experience leading teams, managing resources, and steering projects towards completion.
