General Description

The Global Human Resource (HR) Manager will play a significant role in the development and growth of HTI’s domestic (U.S.) and international HR strategies and oversee all high-level HR activities, including planning, design, and implementation of HR programs, policies, and processes regarding employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and onboarding. Additional tasks include providing leadership team members with HR-related advice and counsel, organizing training programs for employees, and collaborating with operations, finance, and HR team members to ensure all HR-related programs are successfully implemented around the globe. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance & Operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of HTI’s global HR strategies
  • Create HR programs, policies, and processes and ensure they are successfully implemented and adhered to throughout HTI.
  • Ensure HR strategies, plans, and programs are in accordance with domestic and international employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead domestic and international HR staff and provide advice, support, and leadership to all program teams.
  • Counsel leadership team members about HR-related matters.
  • Create and oversee all staffing processes, including job scoping and job description development, recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new employees.
  • Develop and execute the global HR strategy, aligning with HTI’s objectives and driving cultural alignment across all programs.
  • Oversee the implementation and standardization of HR policies, processes, and programs globally.
  • Collaborate with leadership and operations management to align HR initiatives with HTI’s goals, foster employee engagement, and drive talent management strategies.
  • Drive the development and implementation of global HR programs, such as performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and employment practices across various jurisdictions.
  • Develop and monitor key HR metrics to assess HR effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Lead global HR projects, such as HR system implementations, HR process harmonization, and global talent acquisition strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Manage and oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance globally.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, employment trends, and emerging HR technologies.
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  • Design strategies and implement staff care processes and systems to bolster the well-being and work-life balance of HTI’s global workforce. 
  • Foster a positive, productive work environment by coaching, counseling, supporting, and advising leadership and staff on employment-related issues.
  • Position requires occasional domestic (U.S.) and international travel (<20%).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant field required; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Seven years of relevant work experience in HR, Infrastructure, and/or Operations; ideally within an international organization.
  • Extensive experience in the development and implementation of HR and Operations processes and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of global HR practices, employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive HR initiatives and optimize HR practices globally.
  • Ability to navigate complex international HR landscapes, adapt to changing regulations, and manage HR-related risks
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems and HR analytics tools for data-driven decision-making
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, retirement plan administration, and HR best practices
  • Experience working in diverse cultural environments, managing cross-cultural teams, and fostering global collaboration
