Profile
- Postgraduate degree in European studies, law, economics, political science;
- Minimum 6-month to one-year professional experience in European affairs gained in an EU institution, an association, a consultancy, or in-house;
- Ability to cope with deadlines and work independently; reliable, well-organised, proactive, transparent, team player;
- Excellent understanding of the EU policy making;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; research skills;
- Proficient in written and spoken French and English;
- Interest in contributing to sustainable mobility in Europe;
- Desirable: knowledge of EU transport policy, prior experience in digital and data issues, knowledge of additional EU languages.
Conditions
To be eligible to a VIE a contract, the candidate must fulfil the following conditions:
- You must be older than 18 and younger than 29;
- You must be a national from an EEA Member State;
- You must have a clean criminal record;
- You must not have had a VIE contract before;
- You must not have had a Belgian work contract before;
- You must not be registered in Belgium.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse railway news in Europe and EU policy developments;
- Report on meetings and conferences;
- Contribute to internal working groups to develop SNCF positions and to working groups of European sectoral federations;
- Draft briefing papers on specific topics, prepare newsletters;
- Support the organisation of events;
- Prepare meetings with EU policy makers.
