Position description

In the position, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and managing the engagement of the P4G network. You will provide strategic leadership on P4G engagement within the team and support the Engagement team with mobilizing the proactive participation of the P4G network in major events such as the P4G Summit and in major outputs such as the State of Art Report and P4G Awards.

Job Responsibilities

Manage engagement of P4G network including national platforms, partner organizations and Board of Directors

  • Conduct outreach to the P4G Board, partners, and national platforms, and manage these relationships in a proactive manner that enhances their engagement and coordination within the P4G work program
  • Represent P4G on mission trips to partner countries
  • Organize Board and Executive Committee meetings
  • Support the integration of new countries and organizations into the P4G network
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the landscape of P4G Partnerships and identify opportunities and approaches for P4G to collaborate and coordinate with P4G's network

Mobilize the proactive participation of P4G network in major events such as the P4G Summit and in relation to major outputs such as the State of Art Report and P4G Awards

  • Manage the involvement of P4G network partners in major events including the P4G Summit, annual meeting, and international conferences
  • Organize panel sessions and workshops at major events related to the P4G network and partnerships
  • Mobilize involvement of P4G network in key P4G program elements including Partnership Fund, State of the Art report, and partnership awards
  • Oversee the P4G Engagement Database in a manner that builds a vibrant community of internal and external partners who understand and value the benefits of involvement with P4G

Provide leadership on P4G engagement within team

  • Manage a small team of consultants and/or staff as necessary
  • Drive internal coordination on engagement issues amongst different parts of the P4G team
  • Contribute to building an efficient, effective and durable program


  • Master's degree in international relations, public policy, business or related field (or two additional years of experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in international relations, climate change, public policy, or sustainable development
  • Track record of building successful networks in developing countries. Skilled at working in a multi-stakeholder environment and bridging diverging views among stakeholders
  • Superb interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collegially with others and with the highest standards of integrity
  • Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills a must
  • Fluency in English required and fluency in Spanish desirable
  • Commitment to P4G’s mission, values, and approach regarding climate issues
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 30% of the time
