The Department of Political Science at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in public administration to begin in August of 2021.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates should have a primary teaching and research interest in the field of public administration, with the expectation that the candidate will contribute to our Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program. The area of specialization is open, but our primary needs are in social justice and social equity, public budgeting and finance, intergovernmental relations, or data analysis. Candidates must have experience or familiarity with online programs and online course delivery, as ULM’s MPA program is 100% online. In addition to graduate teaching responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to teach courses for our face-to-face undergraduate political science degree program, to produce scholarship, to assist with academic advising, and to participate in community engagement. The individual is expected to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with students, peers, and administrators and be willing to serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
