Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) in Turin, Italy. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Head of Unit and in coordination with the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Programme Officer.
Responsibilities
The main focus of this job is the implementation of the CBRN activities in particular of the projects related to the trafficking of radiological and nuclear material. Within assigned authority, the Programme Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

Education
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in criminology, law, international relations, political science or other relevant discipline, with specialization in aspects of international crime and justice issues is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised fluency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is desirable.
