Source Analysts - Middle East/North Africa Military Leadership and Security AnalysisOverview:The MARC has requirements to work critical Military Leadership/Security Analysis and Military Capabilities Analysis issues. Given recent events throughout the Middle East and Africa, the need for greater, in-depth understanding of these issues in this critical region of the world has become even more urgent. Although the initial focus of this effort will be for Military Leadership and Security Analysis as well as Military Capabilities Analysis as stated above, the requirements may shift in the future and focus on other countries and issues in the MARC's Area or Responsibility (AOR).As fully embedded members of the Middle East Africa Regional Center, the Defense Resource and Infrastructure Office, the Joint Warfare Support Office, or other Directorate for Analysis (DI) Offices, contract analysts shall analyze and produce finished all-source intelligence assessments on a broad range of substantive issues in all production formats. The multi-faceted challenges to Middle East Africa stability are becoming significantly more serious and contractor analysts shall focus on these issues and others as directed by their Government managers.Description:Analysts will assist the Middle East Africa Regional Center (MARC) in performing analysis and assessments on the following issues:* Military Leadership Intentions, Civil Military Relations and Leadership Ascension, Security and Stability issues* Military Capabilities all-source analysis* Political issues to include militant Islamic organizations and theory* Order of Battle* Collection Management SupportResponsibilities:*Analyst shall assist in the production of broad and complex all-source intelligence relative to specific complex country/region(s) military strategic and operational capabilities and potential threat issues and topics.*As such, the analyst applies in-depth intelligence analytic skills to identify, assess, design, and report on highly complex order of battle, force structure, military capabilities, key military leadership, military policies, plans, strategies, intentions, and their impact on force developments.*Analyst shall also serve as an all source analyst responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of intelligence policies and procedures that impact the defense intelligence community.Qualifications:Mid-Level:*4-6 years of intelligence analysis experience, or,*Specialized training & 4-8 years intelligence analysis experience, or,*Equivalent intelligence/academic experienceRequirements:* Strong All-Source Analytical Skills* Outstanding Oral And Writing Abilities* Proficiency With Microsoft Applications* Familiarity With Intelligence Collection Processes* College Degree Preferred (Undergraduate) and preferred within Political Science, International Relations or a Related Specialty* Able To Travel, Deploy, And Work Extended HoursRequired Skills:TS?SCI (Preferably DIA Access within the past 24 months)Desired Skills:*Foreign Language Capability*Familiarization with IC computer applications and platformsLocation:National Capital Region w/ the possibility of travel# of Positions open:TBD (live req)
