Lead efforts to help academic and administrative departments develop programs to foster career development amongst international students. The assistant director offers individual career counseling, internship, and job-search advising to students and alumni and develops and presents workshops and informational sessions.
The assistant director also serves as the primary liaison on international affairs with students and employers. This person will educate students and employers and promote awareness of U.S. employment authorization options for international students, including F-1 student work authorization and immigration options for employment-based sponsorship
Knowledge of workplace guidelines for international students and visa categories.
Experience with database management and career services-related software: handshake, UConnect.
Strong student advocacy with proven ability to work with a diverse and international population
Excellent project follow-through ability;

Team-building skills focused on student interaction/relationships
Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
Polished presentation skills
Master’s degree in student personnel, counseling, or related field
