We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and talented (m/f/d) Specialist to join our EU Sustainability and Government Affairs Team in Brussels on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will support one of our growing businesses in a variety of ways.

Working in close cooperation with the EU Government Affairs Manager and the Panasonic HQ in Europe and Japan in the heating & cooling segment, your responsibilities will be:

  • Track, analyse, assess, advocate on relevant policy and legislative dossiers for our Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning business
  • Write regular reports on EU and some UK legislative and policy developments and analyse impacts for the HVAC solutions business
  • Track (non-exhaustive): EU Green Deal, climate and energy policies, renewables, ecodesign, chemicals) and understand the implications for the different parts of the business.
  • Monitor relevant national legislations, incl. national subsidy schemes and UK developments.
  • Represent Panasonic in external meetings, trade associations, industry networks, events.
  • Track funding opportunities linked to the recovery plans.
  • Support the team in daily activities
  • Develop regular updates, briefings, newsletters and publications for our target audiences, including presentations for management.
  • Track on a weekly basis key EU institutions developments
  • Regularly monitor key press articles, opinion pieces, publications of relevance etc.
  • Execute ad-hoc researches on relevant files.


  • University degree in political sciences, internal relations, European affairs, environmental law, environmental/energy management.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in EU public affairs on similar topics, ideally within an EU Institution, European trade association, think tank, consultancy or in-house.
  • Interest in energy, climate and digital developments and comfortable with EU technical legislation.
  • Should be self-motivated, fast learning and pro-active.
  • English fluent (written and spoken), any other EU-language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, other IT tools.
